The issue, which emerged at the end of November 2024, has affected both premium and regular users. While some have found workarounds, others are still grappling with limited access, particularly to premium features like internet searches and file processing.

Reports of the outage first surfaced on OpenAI’s user forums, with complaints noting that subscriptions, such as the Plus and Teams plans, were not functioning as expected. Several users reported difficulties with logging in through third-party platforms like Google, Apple, or Microsoft accounts, which further complicated access to the service’s features.
